Karibu is Swahili for "You are welcome here," so we call this home Karibu House.

Located right in the center of town, Karibu House at 187 Main Street is near so much of interest in Bridgton. The building is strolling distance from Renys, Firefly Boutique, the Magic Lantern, the Library, art Gallery 302, museums, and an assortment of eating places and pubs. Even better, during the hot, sticky summer months, there is a small ice cream shop right in the building! If you like to walk, the public beach is about 8 minutes away and the entrance to Pondicherry Park is even closer. Steven's Brook and the trail that runs to Long Lake is nearby and Shorey Park is right up the street. What could be more convenient?

Full of history, the building still has many of the old world touches such as airy high ceilings and big sunny windows. There is a grassy yard, bounded in the back by a stream, with a built-in grill which invites the folks who live here to spend time outside. There are four apartments in the building and turnover is low as this is a very desirable  location.

The apartments are rented with heat, off-street parking, snow removal and trash removal included. Each tenant is responsible for their own electricity.
